On May 30, at the Soirée de l’excellence en génie of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), Roland Charneux, Director at Pageau Morel, won the 2018 Grand Prix d’excellence, the highest distinction awarded by the OIQ to one of its members. This prestigious prize is bestowed upon a Québec engineer in recognition of his or her visionary qualities, innovative achievements, and social commitment.

During the winter conference of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) in Chicago, a prestigious award was presented to Pageau Morel on January 20. Pageau Morel received a first-place Technology Award in the New Commercial Buildings category for the construction of the Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) Head Office in Vancouver.

At the Excellence in Engineering gala of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) symposium held on May 8, Nadim Abou-Chacra, engineer, project manager at Pageau Morel, received from Engineers Canada president Chris Roney, P.Eng., FEC, the privilege of using the prestigious title of Fellow of Engineers Canada (FEC).

On May 31, during the 27th Énergia Awards hosted by the Association québécoise pour la maîtrise de l’énergie (AQME), Pageau Morel won the AQME award for the Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) Head Office construction project in Vancouver.

Pageau Morel wishes to pay tribute to Michel Carpentier, a model engineer and an exceptional man who passed away on January 29 at the age of 67.

From 1977 to 1986, Pageau Morel realized several major construction projects, including the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu military base, the Pierre-Boucher Hospital in Longueuil, the Palais des congrès de Montréal and the Quebec Palais de justice. This is the start of the firm’s computerization with the arrival of word-processing software and a computer-aided drafting system.
