New LEED construction (design-build) – Integrated design

Project description

Construction of the mixed-use Tour Aimia / Altoria located across Square Victoria at the corner of Viger avenue and Côte du Beaver Hall. This new building will hold a dominating position atop its 35 floors. First, PAGEAU MOREL participated in the integrated design with the architects for design support and performance specifications for and this building that will include 5 floors of underground parking, 10 floors of offices and 25 floors of residential condos. Requirements include measures of sustainable development and LEED Gold certification for the office sections. Second, the PAGEAU MOREL team made sure the concepts developed comply with customer requirements, the performance of electromechanical systems, and codes and standards in effect.

Challenges and Solutions

  • Aiming for LEED-NC Gold certification.
  • Prestige LEED office spaces will occupy the first 10 floors for a total of over 230,000 ft².
  • Close collaboration between professionals at the beginning of integrated design.
  • PAGEAU MOREL also conducted an EE4 energy study, applied for energy grants from Hydro-Québec and Gaz Métro, and will conduct LEED commissioning.
