Various functional renovation and asset management projects

Project description

The PAGEAU MOREL team specialized in healthcare carried out various projects for the Sacré-Cœur Hospital, such as :

  • Complete renovation of the psychiatric emergency sanitary facilities at the Albert-Prévost building, which required a high level of security.
  • Upgrading the main building’s sprinklers and replacing the existing dry system.
  • Upgrading the fire protection system at Alert-Prévost building.
  • Expanding the nuclear medicine department in order to install a new tomography scanner (SPECT/CT).

Challenges and Solutions

  • While in the presence of asbestos, working in a building with a great historical value on existing systems that were built with old standards.
  • Areas needed to be kept functional for patients.
  • Installed equipment offered great reliability (vandal-resistant), as well as offering a high level of security for patients (anti-suicide).
  • Working in confined spaces in the ceilings.
