“I was first acquainted with PAGEAU MOREL in 2003 as a client. At the time, I was deputy director of the first MEC store in Montreal, which was under construction, and for which PAGEAU MOREL had carried out the electromechanical engineering design. This store was the first in a series of green buildings designed by PAGEAU MOREL for MEC, always pushing the concepts of eco-construction further. Over the years, I’ve had many contacts with PAGEAU MOREL, including with then Director Roland Charneux, and each time I was impressed by their professionalism, their drive, and the desire to exceed client expectations that every employee demonstrates. As I share these values, it was natural for me to contact PAGEAU MOREL when I undertook a career reorientation toward mechanical building systems in 2010. I did my internship at PAGEAU MOREL and from day one, I knew I would make my career here.

The work environment, friendliness among colleagues and family atmosphere are the things I enjoy the most at PAGEAU MOREL. Here, no one is treated like a number and business management is done according to people, above all. Mutual support, innovation and client satisfaction are key values within the team, and we are never left alone dealing with an obstacle. The company leaders are accessible and attentive; they support us by offering opportunities of advancement according to the ambitions of each one. Not to mention the stimulating projects we are working on.”

“During my studies at Polytechnique Montreal, I wanted to specialize in mechanical building systems and I applied for a grant offered by PAGEAU MOREL, along with a four-month internship. I was amazed by the quality of the ongoing projects and also by the complicity between the employees. PAGEAU MOREL attaches great importance to the sustainability of the company and demonstrates so by coaching and trusting their new employees. I wanted to be part of this wonderful team and I applied for a full-time job when I finished my bachelor’s degree.

I particularly appreciate the values of sustainable development and energy efficiency that prevail within the firm. PAGEAU MOREL stands out for its technical expertise in mechanical and electrical building engineering, allowing me to evolve and improve professionally every day. I also recommend the firm for the friendly ambience and the quality of the relationships between the employees!”

“The first time I heard about PAGEAU MOREL was in my first year at Polytechnique Montreal. During a networking evening for the electrical engineering department, I met two of my future colleagues: Richard St-Laurent and Mathieu Leclerc. We kept in touch because each year we would meet again at the same networking event during my bachelor degree. We would talk about the company, about its current projects, and about engineering in general. Toward the end of my academic training, PAGEAU MOREL offered me an internship, followed by a part-time job during my last semester, and finally, a permanent position. Now, it is my turn to give back and represent PAGEAU MOREL at these networking events to acquire new talents.

The variety and scope of our different projects allow us to quickly develop a great range of skills and autonomy. The responsibilities given by PAGEAU MOREL to younger employees demonstrate its confidence in the new generation who want to get involved in the company. I recommend the firm first and foremost for the team and the work atmosphere. The projects we work on allow us to fulfill ourselves from a technical point of view, but the complicity and affinities between colleagues are what makes us appreciate our everyday work.

“In 2006, while I was studying to become a mechanical building technician at the Collège de l'Outaouais, I heard about PAGEAU MOREL through my father-in-law who was the firm’s client in Gatineau. So I applied for an internship, completed my DEC, and was immediately hired by the company. My colleagues at the Gatineau office gave me the desire to pursue my studies to become an engineer. I registered the following year in the Bachelor of Engineering program at the École de technologie supérieure (ETS). In fact, I completed 3 internships and 2 jobs since I joined PAGEAU MOREL, both as a mechanical technician in Gatineau and now, an  engineer in the Science | Industry sector of the Montreal branch.

I greatly appreciate the work atmosphere and complicity. Teamwork is highly developed and we help each other a lot, which broadens our skills and knowledge in the field. Having a very active social club gives us the opportunity to participate in several activities during the year, helping to develop our complicity and affinities between colleagues. I recommend PAGEAU MOREL for several reasons, but mostly because it feels like a second home!

“During my studies at the Campus Pont-Viau high school in Montreal, PAGEAU MOREL was recruiting drafters. That is how I got the job! A little intimidated at first by the size of the firm’s offices, I was quickly impressed by the great team spirit and the types of projects carried out such as the construction of the Palais des congrès de Montréal, the project at the Canadian Space Agency, and many more. At PAGEAU MOREL, you feel supported in your career advancement efforts because your needs and goals are heard! You must simply show some good will. The firm offers great technical depth and you never feel alone.”

“After my Bachelor’s degree, I worked as an intern in the field of controls where I saw a few consulting engineering firms come and go, such as PAGEAU MOREL. Later while job hunting, I received four serious offers but it was PAGEAU MOREL’s Vice-president Jacques De Grâce who showed the greatest interest in me joining the team. I found that the firm stood out with its history of interesting projects and its specialization.

At PAGEAU MOREL, I particularly appreciate the responsibilities that are given to “younger” employees ... When you get involved and you show interest, you can quickly become lead designer and project manager. The work atmosphere, team spirit and family-type management are appreciated by my generation. When I meet with potential clients I like promoting the specialization and PASSION FOR INNOVATION of our team. We build around the vision of our clients, but we especially love pushing them further towards the paths of energy efficiency and sustainable development.”
