At Pageau Morel, we embrace the expression “consulting engineer”. Excellence and mastery of engineering have defined the company since the beginning. Our consulting role to our partners and clients is also crucial. We strongly believe in the added value we bring to projects through our expertise, the quality of our workforce and our tradition of excellence. Making a difference for our planet, one project at a time, is an issue close to my heart.
For me, it is essential that Pageau Morel’s senior engineers remain involved with projects in order to provide technical expertise. Mentoring junior engineers is also a priority within the company. This implication, along with our proactivity, helps us to serve our clients well. Moreover, for every project, we always strive and challenge ourselves to design high-quality electromechanical systems at the same or lower cost than systems of lesser quality.
During my 30-year career at Pageau Morel, I have seen the financial strength of the company, which relies mainly on the strength of its engineers and their teams. Technical training, of course, is at the forefront of the company’s success, followed by our engineers’ legendary rigour. But in my opinion, the most striking part is to witness the real pleasure they have in carrying out projects. This perfect formula has been around for over 65 years and is now being passed on to the fourth generation of leaders; I therefore have great faith in the future of the firm. Pageau Morel is, without a doubt, a great company, where I am happy like many others!
I learned everything I know here at Pageau Morel. The company allowed me to develop my technical and interpersonal skills through training and mentoring programs, and by encouraging us to actively participate in technical societies. These programs enabled the development of advanced technical expertise for the benefit of our clients and the industry. Today, we continue our workforce development programs to stay on the leading edge of technology and to deliver high-quality projects, with the greatest respect for our clients and for the profession.
In my opinion, the success of a project comes from a common vision that is shared by the entire project team. The concept of teamwork goes beyond the in-house team and integrates all of our external partners, such as owners, architects, engineers, operators, developers and contractors. With a collaborative approach and by keeping our consulting role at heart, we make sure to understand the specific goals and constraints of our clients, thus allowing us to find the most effective, innovative and sustainable solutions possible. In short, every project is unique and represents an opportunity to surpass ourselves!
For me, Pageau Morel is a big family where we can grow and thrive through our achievements. We believe that a group is stronger than the sum of its parts and we give everyone the opportunity to be heard. The dissemination of knowledge within the company, with our partners, and with the community, helps to advance the cause of a more sustainably built environment. Support is the first word that comes to my mind when thinking about Pageau Morel on many levels. All of our employees, whatever their position, are individually mentored to develop both personally and professionally through their career. Outside the firm, we give new meaning to the word consulting. Not only do we provide consulting services meeting our partners’ standards and requirements, but we also offer a proactive approach.
